Adopting your Webkinz

When you buy a Webkinz from your local retailer, go to www.webkinz.com and click on New Member. This will bring to to the Adoption Center with Ms. Birdy. She will basically walk you through the adoption.
Before you name your pet, you will have to choose a username & password. Make sure your username is your favorite, because it can't be changed later. Make sure you make a unique password that no one can remember or figure out, because if someone knows your username & password, they can go into your account and mess it up. After choosing a certain password & username, write it down and keep the paper safe. This is in case you forget your username or password.
After this, you must fill in the secret code. The secret code is found inside the tag attached to your Webkinz that you bought. NEVER loose or give away this tag. It is the key to your account. If you forget your password, you can change it with your secret code.
Next, is your pet's name/gender. We have a wide selection of good names in our Kinz Names page on this site if you can't think of any! After picking a name, choose whether it is a boy or girl.

Keeping your Webkinz Happy & Healthy

Once you complete your adoption process, you will automatically visit Dr. Quack at the Clinic. If your pet is ever sick or does not look well, visit the clinic. Dr. Quack will check your Webkinz, give you advice, and if your Webkinz is severly sick, he may offer you some medicine for a low price to make your Webkinz better.

To avoid sick Webkinz, try keeping your Webkinz' health, happiness, and hunger meters at 90 or more!
To fill your Webkinz' happiness meter, do some of the happiness fillers below...
-Feed your Webkinz' it's favorite food (In your pet's biography)
-Take the survey in the newspaper
-Play games in the Arcade
-Go shopping
-Give your Webkinz a bath

To fill up your Webkinz' Health meter, do some of these things below...
-Feed your Webkinz' healthy food
-Exercise on a treadmill or pool
-Give your Webkinz a bath

To fill up your Webkinz' Hunger meter, do some of the things below...
-Feed your Webkinz' special pet food
-Feed your Webkinz' it's favorite food (Can be found in it's biography)

My Room

After visiting the clinic go to My Room. Since it's your first time, Ms. Birdy will give you a tour on how to use your room. If you missed the tour, to replay it again, in your room. In the bottom right corner of the screen, click the Help button and then Ms. Birdy Fundamentals. This will explain most of the buttons and controls inside your room.
When you adopt a new Webkinz you get around 2,500 kinzcash. If it is your very first Webkinz, I would use it to buy the important stuff... a bed, bathtub, food, and maybe a cheap outfit. This should take most of your kinzcash. Your 1st Webkinz come with a large room. You get a room with your Webkinz until your 10th adoption. Then you get a bonus gift box and more kinzcash. In the Employment Office, you can do a job every 8 hours. Certain leveled jobs earn more kinzcash. There is easy, medium, and hard jobs. Hard earns the most KinzCash, but are harder to play.
